Meek Mill Pleads Guilty To A Misdemeanor Gun Charge, Prosecutors Drop All Other Charges Against Him

Things are definitely looking up for Meek Mill when it comes to his legal troubles. On Tuesday, Meek and prosecutors negotiated a deal to have the charges against him from his 2007 case officially dropped. As many of you already know, the case has kept him on probation for more than a decade.

According to CBS Philly, a judge accepted his guilty plea and reportedly said, “This is the end of it.”

Meek spoke to a crowd of his supporters outside of the Criminal Justice Center and said, “Free Meek helped me get to this position. Meek free I’m not on probation no more. Thank you, I appreciate that a lot. And I just wanted to come up here myself and thank all the supporters because I know y’all probably got family members in jail or people going through the same thing as me and I will continue to do what I do with the reform movement and help the people who helped me.

As we previously reported, last month, a Pennsylvania appeals court has thrown out his decade-old conviction in a drug and gun case, effectively taking him off probation and allowing him to have a new trial. The action also removed the city judge that sent Meek back to jail over a minor probation violation.

Aside from things looking up for Meek when it comes to his legal issues. Last month he announced the launch of his new record label in partnership with Roc Nation.

It’s great to see things moving in the right direction for Meek Mill.
