Congratulations are in order for Megan Thee Stallion, who recently accepted Billboard’s “Artist of the Year” award. Additionally, the rapper, Lil’ Kim, and 2 Chainz have paid tribute amid the recent passing of Rich Homie Quan.

Megan Thee Stallion Accepts Billboard’s “Artist Of The Year” Accolade

According to the outlet, Meg accepted the award during Billboard’s recent “R&B Hip-Hop Power Players” event. During the presentation, the outlet’s editorial director, Hannah Karp, credited the rapper for topping the Hot 100 “with a rap song this year.”

Additionally, Karp credited Meg for “kick[ing] off 2024 with a bang” with her single, ‘HISS.’

Furthermore, Karp noted that Meg had “the biggest debut for any rap album released by a woman in 2024.”

“And on top of it all, as a philanthropist, an activist, a college graduate, an entrepreneur, and a fitness coach, thats keeping us all in great shape, she is an incredible role model, not just for everyone in this business, but for our children and for music fans around the world,” Karp said of the rapper.

Meg Pays Tribute To Rich Homie Quan Along With Lil’ Kim & 2 Chainz

Footage of Megan accepting Billboard’s accolade arrives amid the Hip Hop grieving the death of Atlanta-bred rapper Rich Homie Quan. As The Shade Room previously reported, Quan was reportedly found unresponsive in his home on September 5.

Subsequently, Meg paid tribute to Quan with a brief message shared via her Instagram Story.

“RIP to one of the best…” she wrote in her post.

Meg isn’t the only celebrity to pay tribute to Quan. On Thursday, 2 Chainz took to his Instagram to share a carousel post with a few words about the late rapper.

“Dam lil brother ,we just spoke about shooting a video Ÿ’™, special prayer for you and your family , and pray for any and everybody thats dealing with something Ÿ™Ÿ my condolences bru Ÿ•Š” 2 Chainz wrote.

Furthermore, Lil’ Kim also shared a tribute to Quan with a post shared via her Instagram account.

“This is the part of life that Ill never get used to, Im so heartbroken Ÿ’” No one ever understood the dope ass friendship u and I had. u always pulled up for me no matter what. Ive learned in life love those who love you. Rest in Heaven my angel @richhomiequan Ÿ•Š” she wrote.
