In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle detailed her experience with the royal family. While sharing details of her tenure as Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle revealed a few shocking details.
While speaking, Meghan Markle stated that the color of Archie— soon to be two-years-old in May–would not have any title. Something Meghan Markle stated was not custom and was “different from protocol.”
“They didn’t want him to be a prince, which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn’t going to receive security,” Meghan Markle stated to Oprah.
Meghan Markle revealed there was also a conversation about his skin tone. Meghan Markle continued, “We have in tandem the conversation of, ‘He won’t be given security. He’s not going to be given a title.’ And also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”
Oprah also asked Harry about the conversation. While he didn’t go into detail, he did confirm that the conversation happened.

Harry also added that the conversation took place early on in his relationship with Meghan. “That was right at the beginning– ‘What will the kids look like?’”
As previously reported, Piers Morgan has been extremely critical of Markle and the prince. “I expect all this vile destructive self-serving nonsense from Meghan Markle, but for Harry to let her take down his family and the Monarchy like this is shameful,” Piers Morgan tweeted on Sunday night.
As you know, Harry and Meghan Meghan Markle married in 2018. As previously reported, in 2020, when the couple announced that they were taking a step back, they also announced that they were working “to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”
