What Mendeecees Said About Yandy Smith On Her Birthday

On Wednesday, Mendeecees took to Instagram to share his deep love for Yandy. He posted five throwback and recent images of them together, from an old selfie to a hospital birth and them out together. Additionally, in the caption, he opened up about their last 20 years together and everything Smith means to him.

“Happy Birthday ŸŽ‰ Wow, 20 years of knowing you and 10 years of marriage! We’ve created a wonderful life together. While raising our incredible Children and facing life’s challenges, our bond has only strengthened,” Mendeecees wrote. “You are my foundation, my companion, and my closest friend. Youve been my prize, my greatest achievement, and someone I aspire to make proud. You bring joy to my life every day. During the hardest moments, weve supported each other, learned, and grown together over these 20 years of friendship, partnership, and marriage. You mean everything to me, and I cant envision my life without you. I love you. Happy birthday @yandysmith.”

Meanwhile, in a birthday dinner video obtained by Live Bitez, Mendeecees gave a toast about his “everything.” He credited her with being an inspiration, not just for Black women but also for men. Their loved ones in attendance felt the energy in the toast and cheered on a kiss between the couple.

“I just wanna say thank you for being an amazing woman. Someone that young Black women can look up to, and some men could probably look up to. I appreciate you, I love you. Keep that energy,” her hubby said as she smiled next to him.

All The B-Day Love Follows THIS DM Tea

The celebration follows a few weeks of drama, including Yandy clocking trolls coming for her marriage and a mix-up of who sent a woman messages from Mendeecees’ phone. In an episode of ‘Love & Hip Hop ATL’ that aired earlier this month, Jessica White spoke to Smith about exchanged DMs between her niece and Mendeecees. Yandy quickly jumped in and claimed SHE was the one who sent the messages from her man’s Instagram account.

Social media exploded with reactions, primarily disbelief at the wild twist of events. Not long after, the couple’s son, Lil Mendeecees, added to the frenzy with his own confession.

“Im not saying she lying I dont think she lying [but] Im gonna be honest, I sent that DM. It was me. It was me. I sent that DM Im not gon lie,” their son said.

He claimed that he had access to his dad’s account and sent the messages after seeing Jessica’s niece in the club. It’s STILL unclear whether their son was being serious or just stirring up a lil’ chaos. See what he said for yourself by swiping below.

Social Media Reacts To The Birthday Shoutout

After The Shade Room reposted Mendeecees’ birthday shoutouts, the roommates flooded the comment section with reactions. While some wished Yandy Smith a happy 43rd birthday, others weighed in on where they believe the relationship stands. Some even cracked jokey jokes based on the social media message confusion explained above.

@lamonsister joked, “Yandy probably wrote this & had him practicing Ÿ˜‚Ÿ˜‚”

“He LOVES Yandy, BUT he is not IN LOVE with her ŸŸ,” @piece_of_qv added. @1jazzychick seemingly agreed, writing, “I believe he loves her but is NOT in love any longer.”

Meanwhile, @yunglooknneesha said, “Yall be mad when Ppl stay together and be in Love No matter What.”

@lizzyboss_baby went deeper in her analysis. She wrote, “Theres is a huge difference in a man Loving you and being in love with you . Men feel a sense of obligation to a woman who has held them down , been loyal , been a friend, and always been consistent, however thats a big difference in a man who is with a woman who he is in love with . The energy , the way he speaks of her , the way he looks at her is just so different.”

@lovequeenstephc referenced the DM narrative, writing, “Soooo did yandy write this birthday shout out? Or does she just only have access to the dms?”

@ntunga.abantu credited the couple’s strength. She commented, “They deffo stayed together through better or worse. Big ups to them for tryna make it work cause most people just give up.”

@iamel_aye wasn’t convinced by the toast, writing, “Not saying he doesnt mean it but to give a toast with shades on doesnt seem genuine. Look me in my eyes when you putting up a toast for me thats all Im sayingbut let me go cut some grass and stay out of rich folk business lol.”

“Praying God Covers their marriage and beautiful family,” @copytherightcat added.

@thefamousher added, “Yandy always been that girl , hes never leaving no matter what they have going on.”

Speaking of birthdays, Yandy isn’t the only one celebrating that milestone this month. Tamar Braxton brought in her 48th earlier this week, and Papoose and his new girlfriend, Claressa Shields, celebrated theirs a week apart. Shields penned a lengthy paragraph for her boo’s 47th, praising his laugh, music, guidance and love. He thanked her for the sweet words and returned the same energy for Claressa’s 30th, calling her his “champion” and a “great person.̶ Pap also pulled up on his new bae with a lil’ Chanel and Louis Vuitton paper-wrapped flowers.
