Roommates, hold on! Method Man is opening up about the constant admiration he receives for his looks and how it affects him.
If you didn’t know, the ladies love Method Man! However, the Hip Hop emcee seems to value respect more than lust or perhaps maybe both. In his recent appearance on the ‘Tamron Hall Show,’ Tamron quoted Meth’s September 2023 Men’s Health cover, where he discussed the constant love he receives from women.
Tamron quoted his words in the issue: “In the article, you said, ‘I’m not a sex symbol. ‘ You said sometimes you don’t want to be lusted over;you just want to be respected.”
The former Wu-Tang rapper responded to Tamron’s statement with a simple “yeah” and a nod of agreement. Tamron then asked Method Man “how he reconciles not wanting to be lusted after while continuing to open his shirt.” The ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ star explained that he worked hard on his physique and wants to show it off, but not for attention.
“Imma show it off while I still got it, but here’s thing, right. I love the admiration. I love it. Does it get awkward at times… absolutely! Sometimes you just want to blend in with everybody else and I’m that type of person,” Meth stated.
The Roomies quickly reacted to Method Man’s comments about being constantly lusted after under The Shade Room’s Instagram report. Many social media users agreed that his beliefs were beyond them because they will always find him attractive.
Instagram user @iamgorgeousnene wrote, “Sir you gotta take that up with God at this point.”
