Metro Boomin just unveiled his highly anticipatedHEROES & VILLAINSproject, and it’s already the talk of the Twitter timeline!
The 15-track album dropped on Friday, and Metro built up a wave of excitement online ahead of the reveal. In fact, he went as far as to say that he would be “saving the year” with the project.
The manner in which he revealed the album’s features was particularly attention-grabbing, as it played off the title and was styled in a comic book-like aesthetic.
Once fans got a chance to check the project out, they took to social media to share thatHEROES & VILLAINSlived up to the hype.
Standing in line with Metro’s comment about “saving the year” with the project, some fans dubbed it “album of the year.”
The features also got tons of love, as fans believed it was a top-tier team of artists.
In other words, listeners think Metro did what needed to be done. Talk about great drafting skills!
The artists who appeared numerous times on the projectsuch as 21 Savage, Future, and Travis Scottgot extra love.
Twitter users shared that they appreciated the transitions, including the poppin’ shift between “Metro Spider” and “I Can’t Save You.”
Listeners appeared to be particularly fond of the 10th track, “Creepin’.” Both The Weeknd and 21 Savage are on the song, and many felt as though it really delivered.
The general consensus was that Metro came through with another hit project.
Speaking of the St. Louis native’s earlier works, we should add that people appreciated Morgan Freeman being sampled again, as he was also included inSavage Mode II.
Ultimately, people were pleased with the albumso much so that some said it eclipses Drake’sHer Lossproject.
