Michael B. Jordan, Jussie Smollett & Sanaa Lathan Among The Celebs Nominated For An NAACP Image Award!

The nominees for the NAACP image awards have been announced by the TCA on Wednesday, and some of your favorite stars are have been mentioned including #MichaelBJordan, #JussieSmollett, #SanaaLathan and more!
The nominees were announced by “Black Panther” actor #WinstonDuke and “Dear White People” actress #LoganBrowning, who learned of their nominations as they made the announcements.
Leading the pack with nominations is the cast of “Black Panther”, looking at 14 awards. #ChadwickBoseman and director #RyanCoogler share the category for entertainer of the year with #Beyonce, #LeBronJames, and #ReginaKing
#DonaldGlover, immediately trails with five nominations. Glover’s directing and acting skills on the FX show “Atlanta” have landed him a spot in the category for best comedy series. And his Grammy award winning work on “This is America” has him in the running for outstanding male artist, as well as outstanding music video and song.
Y’all know they couldn’t forget about your favs #Beyonce and #JayZ. The power-couple’s joint project Everything is Love has landed a spot in the running for outstanding album, and “APES**T” could potentially rack up outstanding music video and visual album.
In addition to honoring artistic talent, the NAACP will honor Congresswoman #MaxineWaters with the prestigious NAACP Chairman’s award. It is awarded to individuals who demonstrate exemplary public service, and utilize their platform to invoke change, just as Waters has in the current political climate.
