Michelle Williams FINALLY connected with the woman shes been mistaken for for years. It’s none other than Michelle Williams the actress. The two have been getting their fan mail all kinds of twisted for a while, with folks sending love to the Say Yes vocalist thinking shes the one who starred in The Greatest Showman, chile. But our girl is clearing up the confusion with a whole lotta laughs in a recent meet-up video with the award-winning movie star.
On Friday (April 18), the Through With Love songstress hopped on her Insta after slaying the stage in her Broadway show ‘Death Becomes Her.’ Fresh off the performance, she posted a hilarious video, still on cloud nine from the crowds love. While mentioning signing autographs, however, she pulled out some pics of actress Michelle Williams, seemingly poking fun at the fact that fans keep sending her the wrong Michelles headshots during her Broadway run. Someone off-camera interrupts, and that’s when Michelle flips the phone around, and its none other than the actress standing there, ready to sign the autograph.

This aint the first time Michelles been out here sorting through someone elses fan mail. Back in March, sis took to IG to share a letter she got all the way from Germany. She was hyped to read it, thinking it was for her, but when she got into it? She realized the fan wasnt even talking about her. The letter, from a man named Philip, was gushing about incredible performances in film and theater. Now, the singer, Michelle, did appear in the 2021 TV movie Christmas in Harmony, so these words could have still applied to her.
However, Michelle kept reading, and thats when things became a lil clearer.

Philip even asked her to sign some photos for him and his daughter, saying they “admire your artistry. But when Michelle held up the pics? It was Michelle Williams from the movies, chile. Her hair is fabulous, the Illinois native said.
Back in 2019, Michelle took aim at people who were tagging her on Instagram, congratulating her on an Emmy win. Per USA TODAY, in a state of confusion, Michelle, the singer, clarified that she’d not wonany award and that she’d once again been mistaken for the wrong person.“How come when yall are tagging and congratulating a person, do yall see that Im black?” she wrote.
While the iconic trio didnt do anything special for the 20th anniversary of their final album, ‘Destiny Fulfilled,’ in November 2024, they made up for it by reuniting to support their ex-band member on her Broadway opening night. And Roomies, y’all know when DC3 gets together, its always a whole vibe, which was apparent by the pics shared to Instagram. On Thursday, (Nov. 21), Bey and Kelly pulled up to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York to shower Michelle with love as she did her big one playing Viola Van Horn. And who else was in the building? None other than Tina Knowles, because Mama Tina doesnt miss a family event, okay!
