Nashville Couple Returns Bag Of Money Filled With Thousands Inside Bank Of America ATM

#Roommates we all know that extra money is always welcomed, especially during the holiday season—but what would you do if you accidently found thousands of dollars while making a trip to your local ATM? Well, a local couple from Nashville found themselves in this exact situation at a Bank of America ATM—and their response to their good fortune may surprise you.

As reported by @WKRNTV, married Nashville, Tennessee couple Nader and Noor Abdalleh visited a Bank of America ATM and unexpectedly found thousands inside the machine concealed in a bag. Just how much money did they stumble upon? That would be about $50,000…which they promptly returned.

The couple took the money inside the nearest Bank of America and handed it over to a company employee. A spokesperson for Bank of America confirmed that the bag of money found by the couple was accidentally left by workers from the company that puts money in the ATM machines. In an official statement, the company thanked the couple’s honesty, saying “We very much appreciate the couple bringing the situation to our attention so we could resolve the matter quickly.”

Nader Abdalleh explained why he and his wife gave the money back, stating:

“If you find money and it’s not yours, you do not deserve it. You have to find a way to return the money, no matter what. If something’s not yours, do not use it.”

A Bank of America spokesperson has yet to confirm whether or not the couple will be given a reward for returning all the money.

Roommates, what would you do in this situation?
