Oop! Natalie Nunn just dropped Shaquille ONeal and his ex, Nicole Hoopz Alexander, into a podcast story, and Hoopz had something to say. What started as a casual tale about Nunns first car quickly turned into a throwback moment no one saw coming.
During the December 27-released episodeof Cam Newtons ‘Funky Friday’ podcast, Nunn revealed that Shaquille O’Neal bought her first car. Nunn revealed it was a brand-new convertible Volkswagen Beetle she received while attending USC.He bought me my first car. I was at USC. He bought a Bug [Volkswagen Beetle]…Google It! Nunn explained, pulling out her phone to reference a 2011 tabloid claiming Shaq had dumped Hoopz for her. Despite the explosive headline, Nunn insisted she never actually dated Shaq, saying, I was a college student. I needed a car. N***a, what are you talking about?
The conversation between Nunn and Newton quickly turned into a back-and-forth about whether there was more to the story. Newton pressed, So, you did date? to which Nunn fired back, Nothing. I went to the games. I was a USC student athlete. The clip has since gone viral, leaving fans debating whether Shaqs gesture was innocent or if the tabloid got things mostly wrong.
Adding fuel to the online chatter, Shaqs ex Nikki Hoopz Alexanderreacted to the ‘Funky Friday’ Instagram post promoting the podcast clip. Keeping it cryptic, Hoopz left nothing but a pair of eyes emojis, leaving fans wondering if shes throwing shade or just watching the drama unfold. Needless to say, the internet quickly blew up with takes, memes, and questions about what really went down between Nunn, Shaq, and Hoopz all those years ago.
