NBA Players Have Reportedly Decided To Resume Playoffs As Soon As Friday

It’s being reported that NBA players have apparently decided to resume their playoff games as soon as this Friday following Wednesday’s boycott.

NBA and other major league sports teams chose to boycott their games Wednesday, in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting.

Jacob Blake, a black man, was shot in the back seven times by Kenosha, Wisconsin police.  Following the outrage of this, the Milwaukee Bucks took the lead as they chose to boycott game 5 of their first round of playoff games against the Orlando Magic. Many major league teams then followed suit and as a result, three NBA playoff games, three WNBA gams, three MLB games and four MLS games were called off.

Former NBA player and ‘Inside the NBA’ co-host, Kenny Smith, even left the show’s set to stand in solidarity with the players. “As a black man, as a former player, I think it’s best for me to support the players and just not be here tonight,” he said.

Here is a compilation of some of the teams that chose to opt out of their games Wednesday.
