NBA YoungBoy Indicted On 2 Charges Including Possession Of A Firearm By A Felon (Exclusive)

TSR Exclusive: NBA YoungBoy has been indicted on two charges related to his September 2020 arrest including possession of a firearm by a felon. YoungBoy was arrested Monday in Los Angeles on an out-of-state federal warrant but details were slim as the warrant info was sealed.

The Shade Room obtained the unsealed federal indictment docs Tuesday night, which revealed that YoungBoy is facing two counts including possession of a firearm by a felon and being in possession of a firearm that is not registered to him.

YoungBoy and one of his associates Morrow Battie have to forfeit any firearms and ammunition, according to the charging docs.

As of Tuesday afternoon, NBA YoungBoy was still believed to be in federal custody. He was wanted on these charges and was stopped Monday afternoon in Los Angeles, with the assistance of the Los Angeles Police Department.

YoungBoy fled the vehicle he was traveling in on foot and hid out for a few hours in the Tarzana area, where he has reportedly been staying, before being apprehended.

He was expected to appear in court Tuesday for his first appearance but it’s unclear if the hearing took place or if he will be eligible for bail.

YoungBoy was among 15 others who got locked up back in September 2020 during a video shoot in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Baton Rouge police were called to a neighborhood following a tip from an anonymous caller who reported seeing multiple people brandishing guns in a vacant lot.

When police approached the scene, the guys apparently scattered while officers were able to detain YoungBoy and a few others.

During the course of the investigation, officers said they confiscated multiple firearms, drugs and large stacks of cash.

In light of what they found, police made 16 arrests and confiscated 14 guns (one stolen and two guns with illegal stocks), and seized $79,000 in U.S. currency.

We’ll keep you posted on any updates.
