When it comes to Nelly and Ashanti finding their way back to each other, one opinion fans were waiting on came straight from home. Nellys daughter, Chanelle Valentineaka Nanarecently stepped behind the mic looking unbothered and glowing, and made it clear shes more than okay with her dads love life circling back around. Calm, confident, and speaking from the heart, Nana let her real feelings be known!
In a recent episode of Reginae Carters ‘Heir Time’ podcast, Nellys daughter sat down to discuss all things going on in her life, including the circling back of her step-mother, Ashanti. The clip, obtained by Black Finest Love, captures Nana weighing in. While Reginae declared that she was “so happy to see the couple get back together, Nellys daughter, Chanelle aka Nana, had her own thoughts. Nana said, they cute, to which Reginae doubled down on, and Nana also added, and my baby brother so cute.
Sitting pretty with her bangs, sparkling earrings, and a gold and white outfit, Nana sat in front of the mic and gave the tea, sharing:
“Im happy, they happy. As long as my daddy happy, I’m with whatever it is that you wanna do, how you wanna do it.
Reginae also chimed in, saying she feels like the couple is fine as h*ll together, which Nana quickly agreed with, replying, they are.
As soon as the episode dropped, folks ran straight to the Black Finest Love comment section to share their two cents. Some were all about I knew Ashanti and Nelly would end up together, while others werent so sure and questioned if Nana is actually close with Ashanti IRL. Meanwhile, a whole wave of fans were just over here wondering if it’s time for them to spin the block on their own past romances.

Nana wasnt playing when she said they cute. Ashanti and Nelly went all out for their anniversary, with roses lining the hallway, heart-shaped balloons floating everywhere, and petals covering the floor like a scene straight out of a rom-com. From Ashantis shocked hand-over-mouth reaction to the side-to-side hug and little dance move with Nelly, the whole vibe was exactly the kind of couple energy Nana was feelingand their son even made a cameo, hand in hand with mama, making the whole moment impossibly sweet.
