On Monday, October 13, Ashanti celebrated her 45th birthday, apparently coming off the heels of a tropical vacation at The Cove Atlantis in the Bahamas.
The tropical footage was shared by Ashanti last week, and since then, she’s been active on Instagram, reposting her received birthday shoutouts. On Tuesday, October 14, her hubby, Nelly, took to his Instagram deed to share his own special message for his queen. To note, he also reposted the message via his Instagram Story, emphasizing Ashanti as “MRS Haynes.”
“Happy Birthday to the most beautiful and amazing woman in this world.. Marrying you wasnt just finding love it was finding home. Love you mama @ashanti,” Nelly wrote.

For context, the photo appears to be a throwback pic from his and Ashanti’s trip to Anguilla in 2005. Per Google, at the time, their trip and its subsequent photos led the public to begin speculating about whether they were dating.
