It looks like Nelly may be off the hook when it comes to the alleged sexual assault case against him in the U.K.
According to TMZ, he reportedly will not face any criminal charges and it’s because the accuser is no longer talking with police. Law enforcement sources revealed to the site that Nelly will no longer be questioned and police have informed him that no further action will be taken.
However, the investigation is not officially closed, although detectives are not actively investigating at the moment. If any new information becomes available, the Essex Police can review it and take it from there.
The accuser’s attorney, Karen Koehler, spoke with the site and said, “We told the Essex police we would no longer participate in their shoddy investigation and shifted our focus to the federal lawsuit where we will wait on the judge to decide that outcome.”
As we previously reported, the accuser sued Nelly last November after she claims he allegedly sexually assaulted her after one of his concerts in England. The accuser recently put the police force on blast for reportedly treating her more like a suspect and not a victim.
Nelly has denied the accusations against him.
