Nelly seemingly surprised his wife Ashanti with a lavish party in celebration of her 44th birthday.
On Monday, October 14, Instagram user @livebitez took to the platform to share a montage of various clips from Ashanti’s recent birthday bash. The video featured shots of the singer walking into a venue alongside Nelly and being surprised by family members. Meanwhile, another clip in the video showed the singer on the dance floor with Nelly.

In another clip, Ashanti can be seen sharing how “overjoyed” she was for the celebration as she seemingly thought she would be spending her birthday by doing something small at home.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Ashanti and Nelly welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, on July 18.
In August, the singer got candid about her labor experience while speaking exclusively with Entertainment Tonight, per The Shade Room.
“It was such an amazing, incredible feeling and experience,” Ashanti said. “He came a little early, and dad had to fly in last minute which was awesome… seeing his face for the first time I cried. It was just so emotional and spiritual at the same time, you know, kind of having a vision of this moment for a long time.”
