New Jersey School District Investigating Fetty Wap’s “Wake Up” Music Video

It looks like Fetty Wap may be in a little trouble with New Jersey’s school district following the release of his latest video “Wake Up”.

Last week the New Jersey rapper released the video where he returned to the halls of his former school, Eastside High School. In the song Fetty Wap talks about getting “Wiz Khalifa” high along with other references to marijuana, such as a banner that reads “Go Team Kush”.

Although the video has racked up 3.2 million views, the school district is not here for the message in Fetty Wap’s video.

Terry Corallo, the district’s spokesperson said, “The district does not endorse the content of this video. As there are procedures that must be followed in securing the use of our facilities, whether all procedures were followed is in question and being investigated and will be addressed as a personnel matter.”

During the video’s release, Fetty Wap said, “This song is for everyone that might not be in the top of their class or most popular but you still know where you’re headed, just riding on your own path.”
