Nicki Minaj had a moment on social media today, marking her return after being silent for some months following the birth of her baby boy.
Nicki has been a hot topic of conversation amid a larger conversation of female rap and its current state, the consensus being that the game misses Nicki.
She shook fans today when she hinted something is coming later this week, posting two photos of herself seemingly naked in an office-like setting. The caption read F R I D A Y accompanied by a fingers crossed emoji.
While Barbs and the rest of social media were buzzing about Nickis return, people were also talking about the events that followed Nickis long-awaited post.
Fans noticed that Rihanna was once again following Nicki Minaj after an alleged feud between the two superstars.
Not long after, it appeared Nicki also went ahead and hit that follow button back, sending fans into a frenzy about a possible collab between the two artists.
So what was the cause for the alleged beef? Well, it was believed that Nickis beef with another rapper prompted Rih Rih to unfollow her.
The rapper in question was Remy Ma and this presumed feud went on for a few years, though there were no significant episodes that would suggest Nicki and Rihanna were done for as a duo.
So could there be new music from them on the horizon? Its not too far fetched considering the pair has collaborated before all the way back in 2010 for Nicki Minajs debut album, Pink Friday. But considering we cant even get Rihanna to drop her own album, I wouldnt necessarily get my hopes up.
