Nicki Minaj is seemingly back outside for the FIFA World Cup festivities and her family is right by her side! New videos circulating show the rap star smiling while showing glimpses of her son, Papa Bear,and husband, Kenneth Petty. The clips offer a rare look at Nicki’s personal life following months of criticism for Trump administration support.
Barbz were blessed on Saturday after videos surfaced of Nicki Minaj kicking it with her baby boy and Kenneth Petty. The family appeared to be in Los Angeles, their reported home base, for the opening festivities of the FIFA World Cup. She was one of several celebrity spectators reportedly at the US Men’s National Team game on June 12, per the blog World Music Views.
In one video, Nicki Minaj and Papa Bear are chilling in the stands as she pans the camera on the soccer field. She’s rocking a casual, neutral-colored tracksuit while her five-year-old wore a bright yellow outfit with a black, fitted hat. It appears that Papa’s long hair was either cut low or tucked all the way into the hat. Kenneth also makes a rare appearance in the footage, standing several steps away from his wife and son.
Meanwhile, a second video, seemingly filmed by Kenneth Petty, shows the mother and son posing in front of a painted wall inside the stadium. After encouragement from his parents, the five-year-old loudly says, “Hi guys” without looking at the camera. Swipe below to see both clips!
In four hours of the footage being on The Shade Room’s comment section, over 4,000 comments poured in. Plenty of Barbz showed love after seeing Nicki Minaj spending time with Papa Bear and Kenneth Petty. Other users made comments about seeing Papa’s growth and hearing him speak amid past viral “nonverbal” speculations. Meanwhile, a few mentioned her supportive stance of Donald Trump and his administration.

The rare family footage comes after Nicki Minaj dominated headlines in earlier months for her political stance. She’s been showing open support for President Donald Trump since attending AmericaFest in late 2025. At the time, she expressed her “utmost respect and admiration” for Trump. She said, “I dont know if he even knows this but hes given so many people hope that theres a chance to beat the bad guys, and to win and to do it with your head held high and your integrity intact.”
Then, in January, Nicki Minaj doubled down on her support for the administration. She pulled up to Washington D.C. and spoke a this Account Summit, calling herself his “number one fan” and denying that she’s bothered by backlash. She said, “Were not going to let them get away with bullying him and, you know, the smear campaigns its not going to work He has a lot of force behind him and God is protecting him.”
