Nicki Minaj’s Lawyer Denies "Supporting Sex Offenders" Claim

Nicki Minaj’s Lawyer Denies “Supporting Sex Offenders” Claim Made By Jennifer Hough’s Attorney

Nicki Minaj’s legal team is going to do whatever is needed! According to Complex, Nicki’s lawyer has responded to a claim from the attorney of Jennifer Hough. The claims argued that Nicki has a “reputation for supporting sex offenders.” However, Nicki’s lawyer Judd Burstein denies those claims.

New York court documents dated April 11th show Judd first submitted a declaration supporting a motion for sanctions involving multiple alleged reasons against Tyrone Blackburn, who represents Jennifer. If you recall, Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995. It’s no secret that Jennifer has been vocal about the arrest and maintains that Kenneth sexually assaulted her and alleges he harassed her in what she calls a silencing campaign.

Jennifer Hough’s Attorney Says Nicki Has A “Reputation” With Sex Offenders

In response to Judd’s declaration, Tyrone has filed a declaration in opposition to what he described as a “ridiculous” motion for sanctions. In that response, Tyrone mentioned Nicki’s brother, Jelani. He was sentenced to 25 years to life in 2020 following his 2017 conviction on predatory sexual assault and child endangerment.

Court documents state, “Upon information and belief, [Nicki Minaj] has a reputation of supporting sex offenders,” said Tyrone.

He also brought up Kenneth’s 2020 arrest due to failure to register as a sex offender in California. The accusations didn’t end there. Tyrone also accused Nicki of having “orchestrated a public relations campaign attempting to discredit the 11-year-old female victim” in her brother’s case.

Nicki Minaj’s Lawyer Shuts Down Legal Claims She “Supports Sex Offenders”

Nicki’s lawyer had a lengthy response. He invoked the Army-McCarthy hearings of 1954, arguing that Tyrone has now engaged in “additional bad faith conduct.” He called his claim a “baseless and disgusting attack” against Nicki. Judd wrote,

“Faced with a claim that he should be sanctioned because … of his entirely irrelevant accusation—made without any evidentiary support —that [Minaj] belongs to a murderous street gang.”

Judd continued,

“One would have expected Mr. Blackburn to limit his response to an explanation why that allegation was appropriate or at least made in good faith. He did not do so. Instead, he did something far worse: he has now outrageously alleged that [Minaj] supports the sexual abuse of children.”

Lastly, the Queen’s lawyer called Jennifer’s lawyer’s last action “yet another example” of a strategy allegedly aimed at harassing Minaj and harming her reputation.

“Mr. Blackburn surely included this outrageous accusation knowing that the media will likely report on the lie, thereby creating the very reputation he had no basis for alleging in the first place,” he added.
