Nike Ends Endorsement Deal With Antonio Brown

They say when it rains it pours, and Antonio Brown is definitely going through the storm right now. Although he is still signed to an NFL team, he has now found himself without a shoe deal.

The Boston Globe reported that late Wednesday Nike confirmed that Antonio is no longer associated with their brand. A rep for the company said, “Antonio Brown is not a Nike athlete.”

When asked to elaborate more on the situation, the spokesperson declined to go into further detail. However, many are speculating it may have everything to do with the recent sexual assault cases that have been brought against him.

As we previously reported, a few days after signing with the New England Patriots, his former trainer, Britney Taylor, claims he sexually assaulted and raped her on three occasions, sued Antonio.

She said, she “experienced various uncomfortable and inappropriate incidents. She says the first happened in June 2017 during a training session when AB exposed himself and “kissed her without consent”.

Earlier this week, a second woman has come forward and accused AB of sexual assault. The unidentified woman claims he inappropriately propositioned her at his Pennsylvania home back in 2017.

According to ESPN, before his trade to the Steelers back in February, Nike a $100 “Nike Tech Trainer Antonio Brown” shoe. The shoe featured a pattern of Brown’s No. 84 and one of his phrases, “Business is Boomin,” on the tongue of the shoe.

Antonio first announced his deal with Nike back in 2018 during Complex’s shoe shopping series.
