As more details continue to surface surrounding Nolan Xavier Wells’ tragic death. Now, his best friend Jayvon Williams is speaking out about a viral Horn Island video that captures an argument between two people. The video clip has spread across social media, prompting questions about whether Nolan was involved in the altercation.
Recently, Jayvon Williams spoke exclusively with TMZ about a viral video circulating online that appears to capture an argument at Horn Island. While people online have questioned whether the clip features Nolan’s voice, Jayvon said he couldn’t confirm it because the voices sound distant. However, he added that the exchange sounds similar to another friend who got into an altercation on a boat while at the island. Williams also recalled that his friend acted hostile and upset during the incident, while parents on the boat tried to get him to leave. Williams also said authorities have no contacted him regarding Nolan’s death. He added that he’s willing to discuss anything because he has nothing to hide and wants to help Nolan get justice.
“I have nothing to hide. That’s my boy and I want him to find justice.” Jayvon continued, “This whole case thing, whatever […] this whole situation, none of this adds up to me. So it’s really hard when people are saying things when none of this adds up to me.”
Attorney ben Crump reposted the July 4 video Jayvon Williams mentioned while speaking with TMZ on his Instagram page. Earlier this week, Crump told his followers that authorities were looking into the video’s authenticity and whether it could be connected to Nolan. He also encouraged anyone who was on the island on July 4 or had any information to come forward.
The investigation into Nolan Xavier Wells’ death is still underway. Per TSR, Nolan traveled to Horn Island in Jackson County, Mississippi, with three of his white male friends on July 4. By Monday, July 6, search teams began looking for him and later found his body on the north side of the island. Authorities have conducted a state autopsy, but officials have not released the results yet.
During a July 10 press conference, his parents Christine and Elmore Wonsley and Attorney Ben Crump shared details about the night Nolan went missing. Ben Crump said Nolan was a skilled swimmer, which led him to question whether he drowned at Horn Island. The Wonsleys also revealed they had to retrieve Nolan’s cell phone and car keys. Christine said a friend picked up Nolan’s phone “from where it was” and gave it to Elmore. Meanwhile, Nolan’s friends noticed his Snapchat location showed a different location from the one that Christine saw on Life360. They then went to another location, a home where Nolan’s car was parked. Elmore later spoke on the situation saying Nolan’s friends were at the home and things became “tense” when he questioned them.
