North Carolina Man Remains Incarcerated After Judge Declares Mistrial In Drug Trafficking Case

In July of 2018, police charged Reshod Everett of Fayetteville, NC with 11 counts of drug trafficking. But after a judge recently declared his trial as a mistrial, he still remains incarcerated.

Reshod Everett claims he was set up by police when his home, where his wife also ran a daycare service, was raided. He claims “a brown paper bag and a black envelope – were prominently displayed when police showed off the confiscated goods,” WRAL reports.

Police reportedly confiscated 100 pounds of marijuana, marijuana gummies and cookies, and six guns from his home.

It’s also reported that Everett filed a complaint against the police department and two policemen involved in the case have since resigned. But Everett is said to remain incarcerated until prosecutors determine if they will retry the case.

Roomies, what do you think about this?
