Officials Dismiss DaBaby’s Battery Charges From Alleged Beating Of Las Vegas Driver

Well, it looks like DaBaby got a sprinkle of good news recently! According to TMZ, online court records indicate that a misdemeanor battery charge against him was dismissed with prejudice. This means Las Vegas prosecutors can’t refile the case in the future.

Apparently, officials dropped the charges because DaBaby complied with prosecutors resolutions for the case. The resolutions included paying the victim $7,500 and steering clear of trouble.

As previously reported, a Las Vegas driver said DaBaby assaulted him during an encounter in November 2020. However, the victim did not come forward until February of this year. Law enforcement said at the time that the altercation began during a chauffeured ride in Las Vegas. As the victim drove to several stops, DaBaby and his crew tried to smoke inside of the Mercedes sprinter. When the driver warned the passengers against smoking in the van, DaBaby and his folks allegedly began to cuss and threaten the driver.

Once they pulled up to the Hard Rock Hotel, the driver asked for payment. But DaBaby allegedly reacted by punching the driver in the back of the head and saying you aint the boss. Someone in his crew supposedly told the driver youre lucky youre not in my city because I would have killed you cracker motherfu****. Afterwards, the rapper and his crew grabbed their bags and dipped, but not before someone also said theyd leave the driver dead on the road.

DaBaby denied the accusations at the time saying theyre 100% false on his Instagram Story.

100% false,” DaBaby wrote. “Yall stay positive[.] The devil gone always try you when you doing good.

At the time, his representatives called the allegations a “money grab,” per TMZ. His attorneys also revealed to the media outlet that DaBaby “was prepared to fight the case in court.”Lucky for him, the case is now dropped and in his past!
