It’s like the past just keeps on givin and its latest gift is an upcoming collaboration featuring Omarion, Soulja Boy andBow Wow! The industry vets linked up on Omarions latest single “Ex,” which has yet to be announced or released anywhere else.
The Shade Room exclusively spoke to Omarion’s team, who revealed the track has been weeks in the making. As you may recall, Soulja Boy and Bow Wow linked up in June for a highly anticipated Verzuz battle.The battle brought viral and nostalgic moments in entertainment, including Bow Wow’s piano fingers.
Both artists tapped on other long-term hip-hop artists to add a little razzle dazzle to their performance. Soulja Boy brought out Lil Romeo, while Bow Wow brought out Omarion and Da Brat.
Well, it seems like that brief reunion might’ve inspired what they hope is a hit record! “Ex” is nearly four minutes long featuring two verses from Omarion and one each from Bow Wow and Soulja Boy. And let’s just say, the guys took the opportunity to talk their talk about their coins and lifestyle all while encouraging the ladies to “say bye” to their ex!
“I can be your exit,” Omarion sings in the chorus. “Say bye to your ex baby. I can be your exit. No longer alone. Sitting watching Netflix.”
Soulja Boy jumps in after Omarion’s second verse rapping “Nothing but the best, vv on my neck, I busted down the lambo, drank got me moving slow mo.”
Immediately after Soulja Boy’s verse, Bow Wow slides in with confidence rapping “Hit Chanel we don’t count when we spend it, da f*** did he buy you, a Swiss watch, broke boy.”
Unfortunately for enthused fans, the song isn’t available on streaming platforms as yet. There’s no word on when it’ll happen, but we’re told the trio is scheduled to film a music video for the track later this month.
