The ‘Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air’ Actor Recently Made A Strong Revelation About His Career

As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, Ribeiro made a surprising revelation about his acting career while speaking with Closer Weekly.

Ribeiro explained that he has “great memories” of his time working on the ‘Fresh Prince’ set. However, his role as Carlton on the show ultimately cost him his acting career.

“Playing Carlton on Fresh Prince became a sacrifice,” he explained. “I used to always say doing Carlton was the greatest and worst thing that ever happened to me. It was one of the greatest roles that I ever was fortunate enough to play, but it was also the role that stopped me from acting again because people couldnt see me as anything else. The sacrifice was not having an acting career anymore.”

Despite his acting career apparently taking a hit, Ribeiro would go on to direct and write in various TV shows, which included Perry’s series, ‘Meet The Browns,’ perABC.

At this time, it remains unclear how the pair may have interacted on the show’s set or to what capacity.
