Oprah’s Buys A $14 Million Cozy Mansion in the Mountains!

Welcome! TSR invites you to Oprah’s dreamy new mansion up in the mountains of Colorado! But get this, this home is only temporary until her real 60 acres bachelorette pad is up and ready to move in!

Oprah is basically siting on a gold mine as of 2015 since she recently announced she bought out the workout strategy company ‘Weight Watchers’ back in October. Last year in 2014 she bought property in Telluride Mountain Village, Colorado according to Wall Street Journal, but for now she is staying in a contemporary home that sits on 3.23 acres of land and was formerly owned by a retired tech executive, Bob Wall.

The 8,700 square footage home contains everything essential for the ‘OWN’ channel owner: a colossal sized jacuzzi, a gym, a tree-top deck overlooking the forest and mountains which includes a fire-pit, a massive kitchen, a sauna, and a “wine mine?!”

If you all aren’t aware of what a “wine mine” is, it is designed in Oprah’s temporary chateau according to Glamour, as a 56-foot-long room controlled to sustain a moderate level temperature primarily to keep wine compact in an antique-steel mine cart on wheels. The room is designed to look as if you’re actually in a coal mine, and can hold up to 1,600 bottles of wine!

This five bedroom and six-and-a-half bathroom home, also has in place a “funicular” that Wall, the previous owner had built himself in order to transport skiers directly to the slopes. This home is only minutes away from ‘Telluride Ski Resort.’

This home was originally on the market for $15 million, but Wall dropped the price down after he realized he just wanted to move on to bigger and better things himself!

Oprah’s home that she’s patiently waiting to be built from the ground-up is said to be near “very high-end construction” and it’s on a “very private,” according to real-estate agent of Telluride Real-Estate, Matthew Hintermeister. He also claims that it’s not unlikely for residents to find another chill place to stay before their masterpiece appears!
