Papoose has addressed the rumor that he allegedly cheated on Remy Ma with Claressa Shields.
On Thursday, April 9, a portion of DJ Vlad’s interview with Papoose was shared via VladTV’s YouTube channel. In the clip, Vlad asked Papoose about Remy Ma claiming that he stepped out on their marriage to be with Shields. Furthermore Vlad asked Pap, “When did you and Claressa actually meet?”
“Yeah, me and Claressa met July of 2024, Vlad… and you know what’s very interesting… we met at the Shakur Stevenson fight in New Jersey. But the next day after we met, we talked through the DM and she said, ‘Hey, it was great meeting you Papoose,'” Pap recalled as a screenshot of their apparent DMs popped up on the screen. “But if you go through a DM, what does it have on it, Vlad?… Timestamps and the date!”
Ultimately, Papoose called the rumor that he stepped out on Remy with Shields a “false narrative.”
Social media users entered TSR’s comment section, sharing their reactions to Papoose’s explanation. Many appeared to be unconviced that he didn’t cheat on Remy Ma with Claressa Shields.
Instagram user @peachiesuze2 wrote, “ Yep! Whatever Remy said he did HE DID IT!”
While Instagram user @iam_melissaodum added, “I just dont like him. I feel like hes using her. I dont believe he really likes her. Not saying she isnt worthy! She is a beautiful girl. I honestly just feel like hes clout chasing.”
Before the clip showed Papoose addressing the rumor that he allegedly cheated on Remy Ma with Claressa Shields, the women were already making headlines. As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, Remy Ma released a new freestyle, titled ‘W.Y.F.L.’
Furthermore, in it, she appeared to take shots at Papoose, insinuating that he never ghostwrote her raps.
This, after Papoose took to Instagram last year, amid news of him and Remy’s divorce, to claim he helped her pen.
After Remy dropped her freestyle, some social media users believed Claressa Shields sublty reacted via her Instagram Story.
