Pop Smoke’s Posthumous Debut Album To Drop Next Month

It has been almost three months since Pop Smoke’s life was taken away from him. However, his team and fans have been working to keep his memory alive. Now the release date for his debut album has been announced.

According to Complex, on Thursday Pop Smoke’s manager Steven Victor shared the release date for the highly anticipated project, which is June 12th. Although this project is considered his debut album, the project does follow his two “Meet The Woo,” mixtapes which were dropped last year and earlier this year.

Earlier this month, his team released a statement where they promised new music was coming soon. The statement read, “The public show of support and grief, by everyone touched by Pop during his lifetime, has provided some semblance of comfort during these difficult times for his family, friends, and colleagues. Throughout the next year, we will be sharing new music, as we continue to build Pop’s legacy. In conjunction with his estate, we will be making formal announcements on his foundation and music projects.”

As we previously reported, back in March, 50 Cent expressed that he wanted to come aboard and help with finishing Pop Smoke’s album as he shared a fond memory of Pop.

“He told his mother, he was gonna take her to an award show, and I just wanna make that part real,” said 50.
