Popeyes Offers Family Feud Canada Contestant $10,000 Worth Of Food After She Goes Viral For Her Wrong Answer

By now, we’re sure you’ve seen the hilarious Family Feud video where the contestant pretty much blew all of her family’s money after she shouted out chicken as her answer once she heard that the name “Popeyes,” was a part of the question.

Nonetheless, had she understood the full question, she would have known the question was about Popeye, the cartoon character, and not the fast-food restaurant. The full question was, “Name Popeye’s favorite food?” Eve Dubois’s opponent, Logan Tomlin, answered correctly and said spinach.

However, it looks like Popeyes, the actual fast-food chain, came through for her in a major way.

Popeyes tweeted out to Eve and offered her $10,000 worth of food after her wrong answer cost her family $10,000 on the show. The fast-food chain said, “Our survey says you got that right. DM us to claim your $10,000 worth of Popeyes. #LoveThatChickenFromPopeyes.”

As many of you know, last year Popeyes had a hell of a year after they introduced their signature chicken sandwich. The craze caused numerous long lines at multiple Popeyes locations throughout the country. Things got so out of hand, a couple of fights and lawsuits were filed following the sandwich’s popularity.

The fast-food chain would experience a shortage for a few months before the sandwich returned for good back in November.

Needless to say, after the year that Popeyes had with their chicken sandwiches it’s pretty understandable by Eve initially thought they were referring to the fast-food chain and not the cartoon character.

Roommates, what are your thoughts?
