Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Step Back As Members Of Royal Family & Plan To Move To North America

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making major moves y’all! The two announced Wednesday that they are going to “step back as senior members of the Royal Family,” and plan to move to North America, splitting their time there and in the U.K.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution,” they said in a post on the ‘gram. “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”

The couple say they will still be raising their son “with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter.”

Prince Harry and Meghan who are rumored to be moving to Canada, however, they are yet to confirm the exact country they will be moving to.

This comes after Harry stood up for Meghan and shunned British media for treating her they way he saw his mother, Princess Diana be treated.

If you remember, they said in a news special that they feel strained under the pressure the tabloids keep putting them under, and it was even more challenging for Meghan.

“Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging,” Meghan said to ITV’s Tom Brady regarding being in the spotlight after becoming a new mother to their son Archie.

“When you have a newborn, you know. And especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed –thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m okay.”

Meghan then continued to say that it would be fair to say she wasn’t okay.
