Prince Reportedly Pulls His Music From Every Music Streaming Service Except For One! Can You Guess Which One? (Hint: It Rhymes With Idol)

As if Prince wasn’t already hard enough to find, the singing mogul has reportedly pulled his music from every music streaming service except for one!

According to Forbes, Prince’s publisher has requested that all of the singer’s music streams be removed including from Apple Music and Rdio but has allowed Tidal to be the only streaming service to keep his catalogs. Ouch!

Spotify reportedly said, “We have cooperated with the request, and hope to bring his music back as soon as possible.”

Prince has always been a long time critic of giving his music away for free and has openly condemned the digital music industry. He has been quoted saying the Internet is dead and how he doesn’t want to give his music to iTunes since they will not pay him an advancement.

In 2011, Prince told the Guardian, “We made money [online] before piracy was real crazy. Nobody’s making money now except phone companies, Apple and Google. I’m supposed to go to the White House to talk about copyright protection. It’s like the gold rush out there. Or a carjacking. There’s no boundaries. I’ve been in meetings and they’ll tell you, Prince, you don’t understand, it’s dog-eat-dog out there. So I’ll just hold off on recording.”

He also has had endless battles with YouTube especially to take his music down due to copyright infringement and now the only song left on the site is his song, “Breakfast Can’t Wait”.

Looks like Tidal made the cut because Jay Z’s money talks. The rap mogul reportedly has offered artists 75 percent of revenue from royalty payouts whereas Apple Music only gives 71.5 percent and Spotify gives 70!

Now that Prince has moved on with Tidal, will you? Let’s chat below!
