Protestors Support VSU Student Who Went Viral For Stepping On The American Flag With New HashTag Challenge Called The #EricSheppardChallenge

Earlier this month, Valdosta State University student, Eric Sheppard, made headlines after a video of him stepping on an American flag while protesting near his Georgia campus went viral.

The protest comes after many people being angry over an alleged cover up in the case of the mysterious and horrific death of Lowndes High School student, Kendrick Johnson, who was found dead in a rolled up gym mat in his school’s gymnasium. It has also been confirmed that upon the family’s request to have Johnson’s body exhumed from its grave for a second self funded autopsy, it was found that Kendrick’s body was stuffed with newspapers because all of the organs from his head to his pelvis were removed unbeknownst to the family prior to his burial last year.

Sheppard had protested against white supremacisy and used the American flag to make his point by saying, “That flag represents white supremacy racism which is plaguing the entire earth, so when we step on that flag we are stepping on racism, white supremacy.”

Many people who support Sheppard’s actions have now decided to take up after him in what is now deemed as the “Eric Sheppard Challenge”.  People are now showing defiance against the law by also stepping on the American flag.

While people are showing their support, Eric Sheppard is now on the run after officials say a backpack was discovered with a gun in it, which they believe belongs to Sheppard. It is a felony in Georgia to have a firearm on a school campus so a judge has issued an arrest warrant on his behalf.

He is also getting support financially as supporters even raised money for Sheppard’s bail for if and when he does decide to turn himself in. We all know the real reason why law enforcement wants Eric Sheppard to turn himself in, hopefully he will live to tell his side of the story in court.
