Queen Naija has a question after social media users reacted to her recent NYFW link-up with ‘Love Island USA’ season 7 star Huda Mustafa. The singer and the reality star were seen hugging and smiling during a New York Fashion Week event, but social media quickly filled with mixed opinions.
On Friday, Sept. 12, Queen Naija shared her night out during New York Fashion Week. In a Snapchat video, she ran into ‘Love Island USA’ season 7 star Huda Mustafa. The two embraced and smiled, capturing the moment between the two stars.
Queen captioned the post, My Huda .

Social media users had a lot to say about the NYFW hug. Some defended the meet-up, while others criticized Queen for linking up with Huda, who faced previous backlash over her fans alleged racist comments toward other ‘Love Island‘ cast members.
Instagram user @dess.dine wrote, “I love you queen so ima act like I aint see this”
Another Instagram user @kyra.santana wrote, Of course she would be her fan
While Instagram user @keahndre wrote, Queen must trynna cancel herself
Instagram user @_itss.hayleee wrote, “everyone in the comment hating, meanwhile they both bad asf and making money. These girls do not gaf abt what yall saying I promise
Another Instagram user @habi_babe wrote, Why are yall so jealous of her Huda never did anything to yall
While Instagram user @adriyannaa wrote, “Im confused on whats the problem with them linking?”
Instagram user @authroess_stormy wrote, Not surprised by the link up, Queen has never been one of us.
Another Instagram user @el_hierro77 wrote, Yall in the comments acting like yall dont support other black women just because theyre black. They have the right to support each other #arabqueens”
Instagram user @itssdiamondbtw wrote, Ppl can like huda tf. Ppl can like Ola and Chelly too. I like all of them we dont know them personally yall act like huda came out and bluntly said sum racise or sum sh**
In which @kyra.santana responded, she didnt say anything racist but she wasnt against the racism her ‘friends’ recieved from her fans either. Just because somone doesnt say racist sh** in public doesnt mean they cant be racist”
After fans reacted to her NYFW hug with Huda Mustafa, Queen Naija spoke up in The Shade Room Teens comments, writing, Wait what am I missing? I’m confused.Seemingly confirming she didn’t see the meet-up as controversial and wasn’t expecting the backlash.
Queen and Hudas NYFW meet-up wasnt entirely random. Back in July, while ‘Love Island USA’ season 7 was airing, ClarenceNYC asked Queen who her favorite castmate was, and she replied, Huda.
