Roommates, yall know childhood memories hit a little different when you start connecting the dots later in life. Well, Reginae Carter recently had one of those moments, and somehow Solange Knowles and her dad, Lil Wayne, ended up part of a convo that had fans raising eyebrows without even spilling too much tea at first.
While chatting with Toie Ashanti on the ‘Heir Time’ podcast, Reginae Carter got candid about growing up around her dads relationships, admitting she actually had a soft spot for several of the women he dated, including Niveawho she loved so much she begged to attend her birthday party and even dressed like heras well as Trina and Solange, making it clear her memories were rooted in admiration and positive vibes rather than anything messy.
During the conversation, Reginae can be heard saying: I was telling my friend the other day how like I used to love Nivea, she shared. I begged for Niv to come to my party. Like I used to dress like Nivea for my party. From there, she brought up Trina and Solange Knowles, adding, “Girl, I love Nivea. I love Trina. I love Solange Yeah. He had a few. I love everybody.“
Folks wasted no time running to Reginaes podcast Instagram comment section and ran it UP. Reactions came from every direction, with some joking that Waynes roster is just as legendary as his discography. While others questioned if everyone was talking about the same Solange. And, a few added that it actually makes sense when you look back at it.
One Instagram user @lilmama said, “Solange is somewhere gaging right now ”
And, Instagram user @lexiisaysit added, “Solangeeeeee? Reginaeeee were you supposed to tell us that”
This Instagram user @_sotoye wrote, “I remember Wayne spoke at Solange birthday party and said shes a great person inside and out ”
Then Instagram user @lovin_ream4l joked, “ This whyyy Toya said she making Nae sign a NDA ”
While Instagram user @yngsaintlaron shared, “Wayne roster go crazy“
Finally, Instagram user @lifeasjasmine__ commented, “The fact were ALL stunned about Solange !!!”
Now, Roommates, yall might be wonderingwhat does Bow Wow have to do with all this? Well, Reginaes comments come years after Bow Wow had the internet in a chokehold back in 2020 when he hopped on Clubhouse and casually claimed that everyone knows Lil Wayne and Solange Knowles used to date, instantly sparking debate online. However, neither Wayne nor Solange has ever confirmed those rumors, with Solange previously maintaining that their relationship was simply a close friendship despite years of speculation.
