Reginae Carter was just trying to enjoy a chill moment at the airport when things took an unexpected turn. You never know whos watchingor listeningespecially when your last name carries weight. And this time, an alleged Lil Wayne fan wasnt holding back their opinion. Reginae took to social media to share the recent run-in that had her side-eyeing real hard.
While trying to grab a breakfast sandwich before her flight, she apparently overheard a woman who was seemingly a Lil Wayne fan loudly speak on her name in a way that wasnt flattering. In a video posted by Live Bitez, Reginae kept it cute, but made it clear the unexpected shade did not go unnoticed.
“I’m over here trynna check out, its this older lady, like ‘I don’t give a damn if it’s Reginae. If it ain’t Lil Wayne, I don’t care. I don’t care for no Reginae.’ So, I tried to ignore it…mind you she’s behind the counter where I’m purchasing this little biscuit. I’m like ‘Can I please get my money back?’ I was like ‘I just feel like I don’t wanna make a purchase with someone speaking bad on me and they don’t even know me,'” Reginae told the camera.
After standing her ground, she was gifted her order for free. But heres the twist a fellow employee reportedly revealed that the woman causing the fuss didnt even work at that food spot, and was actually on staff at a neighboring business.
The internet wasted no time chiming in after Reginae shared the moment. Some fans were defending her, saying the woman was out of line for speaking so loudly and disrespectfully. And, folks took to the Live Bitez comment section laughing at the situation, while some agreed with the comment.

As previously reported, Reginae didnt hold back, saying the hate is only coming because the music isnt geared toward TikTok trends. She defended Waynes artistry and described the album as universal, with replay value far beyond social media from malls to NBA 2K. She finished with a mic-drop moment, telling the critics: If you cant understand it, move in silence and get the f**k outta here.
