Trump Reportedly Considering A Revival Of ‘The Apprentice’ Once He Officially Leaves The White House

#Roommates, in just about a month, President-elect Joe Biden will officially take office as the 46th President of the United States—and Donald Trump will go back to being a private citizen, but new reports suggest that his next move is already lined up. Sources close to Trump have reportedly revealed that he is strongly considering reviving his mid-2000s reality competition series “The Apprentice.”

As reported by @TheDailyBeast, Trump has reportedly had recent discussions with his closest circle of family, political aides, and advisers—and he has expressed that reviving his former reality series “The Apprentice” would be the perfect way for him to stay at the forefront of the media and maintain the public’s attention despite repeatedly losing the 2020 presidential election. Throughout the last few weeks, inside sources have revealed that Trump has reportedly said in recent conversation, things like “How would you like to see ‘The Apprentice’ come back?” and “Remember ‘The Apprentice?’”

Trump also reportedly bragged about how much of a ratings draw and money-maker the series was for him and his bestie Mark Burnett, who created the show. However, the bigger question is if a network will even touch him following his controversial years in the White House. “The Apprentice” initially aired on NBC—but that was well before he became president…and the controversy of his time in office will likely follow him after he leaves.

Additionally, Burnett has reportedly told his inner circle that he sees a revival of the show as a huge potential moneymaker.  “Mark’s an opportunist. Trump was his meal ticket before and he’s keen to bring the show back to life, especially in the face of the disaster MGM has become,” according to an insider close to Burnett. The insider is referring to Burnett’s rocky time as chairman of the MGM television group, where he has overseen a string of TV flops, including Netflix’s “Messiah,” “The Contender” on CBS, and ABC’s “Funderdome.”
