Rick Ross is taking steps to comply with making his viral car and bike show accessible to all! The rapper implemented the changes after a fan with disabilities sued him after being denied entry and a refund for last summer’s edition. DarrisStraughter requested his money back after a wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus failed to arrive on the day of the event. The lack of transportation consequently left him unable to attend Rozays third annual show.
Ross has reportedly chosen not to contest Straughter’s claims. Instead, hes embracing the opportunity to fix the problem, not just for the disappointed ticket holder who filed the suit but for several other disabled people who complained about similar experiences. Per TMZ, the rapper responded by agreeing to provide an active shuttle bus service thatll pick up wheelchair-bound guests and take them to a designated area at the event.
Straughters attorney,John Hoover, released a statement sharingupdates on the lawsuit triumph against Ross.Hoover revealed that the event will also offer golf carts to ensure the seamless mobility of wheelchair users throughout the estate,
“Thanks to Darris Straughter and the other wheelchair users who came forward, the upcoming Rick Ross Car & Bike Show will be so wheelchair accessible that even golf carts will be provided to wheelchair users,” Hoover wrote. “This is a milestone in the ongoing litigation. Defendants continue to deny wrongdoing, but if it wasnt broken, they wouldnt have to fix it.”
