Rihanna Sits Down With Vanity Fair, Talks Chris Brown

Rule number one: don’t ever think you can change a man!

In her latest sit down with Vanity Fair, Rihanna confesses her thought process about thinking she can change Chris Brown…even after he assaulted her.
Everyone was curious as to WHY Rih Rih not only went back to the man who assaulted her, but also why she lifted the restraining order she filed against him, and vacationed with him for three weeks after beating.
Her answer was simple: I thought I could change him AND she THOUGHT she was “one of those people who could handle s— like this.”
“Maybe I’m the person who’s almost the guardian angel to this person, to be there when they’re not strong enough, when they’re not understanding the world, when they just need someone to encourage them in a positive way and say the right thing.” She said.
In a nutshell, she felt people didn’t understand him and she was the one who did.

VF sparked the question about whether she thought she could change him she said, “A hundred percent. I was very protective of him. I felt that people didn’t understand him.”
Then she scratched the surface a little deeper.
“You want the best for them, but if you remind them of their failures, or if you remind them of bad moments in their life, or even if you say I’m willing to put up with something, they think less of you.”

That’s how she said they became enemies.
All in all, she seemed to have his best interest at heart EVEN IF it meant keeping herself in harms way.
