Rihanna Spills Tea On Album Delay & What Fans Can Expect

Rihanna’s fans have been itching to hear her voice again, but she’s kept them eagerly waiting for her next album. The last time they heard music from Rih was when she dropped her chart-topping project, ‘Anti’ in 2016.

While speaking with Harper’s Baazar, she admitted that she’s been very specific about her next body of work. She said she didn’t want to put out anything that she didn’t stand for.

“Every time, I was just like, No, its not me. Its not right. Its not matching my growth. Its not matching my evolution. I cant do this. I cant stand by this. I cant perform this for a year on tour.”

Although she’s been taking a lil’ minute to drop a new project, she’s making sure to prove the worth in the wait. “This much time away from music needs to count for the next thing everyone hears. It has to [matter]. I have to show them the worth in the wait. I cannot put out anything mediocre.”

Additionally, Riri admitted that her next project will be far from what anyone will expect. She also mentioned that getting back in the studio has become her new freedom.

“I am actually feeling really good about this. I know I kept saying this over the years. This body needs to come out, and Im ready to go there. And its not going to be commercial or radio digestible. Its going to be where my artistry deserves to be right now. I feel like Ive finally cracked it, girl!”

Riri Shares Her Favorite Thing About A$AP Rocky & Opens Up About Life As A Mogul Mom

Rihanna kept it real during her chat with Harper’s Bazaar. She opened up about her relationship with A$AP Rocky. When asked about Rocky, she said what she loves most is how he steps up as a father, per Complex.

His pureness. His charm. Im annoyed because my songs sometimes just live for him more than they live for me, she said. “And Im like, Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who pushed you out? And they love him, but when I see it, oh, its the best.

Rih also gushed over their sons, RZA and Riot adorable personalities during the interview.

RZA is an empath, so magical. He loves music, melody, books, water, bath time, swimming, pool, beach, anything. Riot, hes just hilarious. When he wakes up, he starts to squeal, scream. Not in a crying way. He just wants to sing,” Rih explained.
