Rolling Ray Says There’s A Trend Of People Stealing From Gay Artists And Not Crediting Them In Response To ‘Big Purrr’ Controversy

Rolling Ray is not letting up on his ownership of the word “Purrr” as it appears to be bigger than his feud with artist Coi Leray.

Earlier Friday, the two got into it over their respective songs. Just for a quick refresher, Coi Leray released her song “BIG PURR (Prdd),” much to the chagrin of Rolling Ray, who claims he coined the phrase “Purrr.”

Rolling Ray released a diss track in response, essentially with the same title. On Friday, he shared his song’s success on the charts and Coi quickly threatened legal action against him.

Just when it appeared the two had piped down on the issue, Rolling Ray went live on Instagram Friday night to explain why he released his version of the song.

Ray says it’s all about protecting what he created.

“When I released ‘Big Purrrr,’ I did it to protect what the f**k I created,” Ray said while using a filter to address his fans on live. “B****es will steal s**t from you and act like you never did it.”

He went on to speak on a bigger conversation of artists taking from gay creators and not crediting them for their work.

“And recently in the gay community, people just been taking and taking and taking and not crediting us,” Rolling Ray said. “So, I had to give what was supposed to be gave and eat that b***h up because ain’t no b***h gon’ play with me in 2021. Yeah, I don’t see it.”

Not soon after, Coi Leray responded with some receipts of her own in hopes to dead this argument between them once and for all.

But something tells us this won’t be over soon. We’ll keep you posted.
