Houston rapper Sauce Walka is recovering after a shooting in Memphis, Tennessee, on Saturday, March 22.

TMZ reports that Memphis authorities held a press conference, where they confirmed Sauce Walka and another unidentified individual were targeted.Per Billboard, Sauce Walka, born Albert Walker Mondane, was reportedly shot in the leg outside a hotel near Memphis’ FedExForum when a car with multiple people allegedly pulled up and started firing. TMZ confirms that the unidentified individual who was with him later died from their injuries at the scene. Authorities haven’t released any additional details about the deceased victim yet.

Police are still looking for the shooters, who allegedly fled the scene in a white four-door vehicle. Right now, it appears no conversation took place between either party before the incident.

Despite his injuries, TMZ reports that Sauce Walka is in the hospital and expected to fully recover.

The incident in Memphis involving the emcee has left several fans concerned since he previously spoke about a past robbery that resulted in someone losing their life. Back in 2022, TSR reported that the ‘PTSD’ rapper gave advice to any Black men who want to be rappers. He also encouraged them to live better and avoid getting involved in unwarranted or harmful situations.
