Yesterday we reported the unfortunate news of Joshua Brown passing. As many of you know, he was the neighbor of Botham Jean, and also a witness during his case. Civil rights activist Shaun King has announced, that his friend Bill Perkins is providing a $100,000 reward, for those who can help find the person who is responsible for Joshua’s death.

As we previously reported, Joshua Brown lived next door to Botham Jean, and he also served as a witness in his case. He was reportedly shot and killed near his apartment complex in Dallas on Friday.

He played a key part in the Botham Jean case as testified against Amber Guyger, who was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison for the 2018 killing of Botham.

According to Law and Crime, the police report said that authorities found a man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital where he, unfortunately, passed away from his injuries. Witnesses reportedly told police that they heard multiple gunshots, and saw a silver four-door sedan speed out of the parking lot.

As many of you can imagine, many people have been expressing their shock surrounding the incident while sending their condolences to Joshua’s family.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) took to social media and said, “Just when we caught a glimpse of justice for Botham Jean, much of it feels stolen back with the murder of Joshua Brown, a key witness in the case. My heart breaks for his family and for everyone touched by this tragedy. We must get to the bottom of this injustice.”

We send our deepest condolences to the family of Joshua Brown during this difficult time.
