Footage Shows Shaunie’s Massive Cover-Up Tattoo

Last week, a Houston tattoo artist named Byron Lofton took to Instagram to share footage of Henderson in his chair.

“Didnt even know who she was at first cause she was cool and down to earth good vibes. looking forward to seeing you and your husband soon,” the artist captioned the clip.

In the footage, Henderson explained to Lofton that the tattoo she was having covered featured the names of her five children. Additionally, she noted that the tattoo is 25 years old and her most recent touch-up (the addition of her youngest daughter’s name) was done 19 years ago. To note, the tattoo was a rose featuring five leaves, each of which held the names of her children. Additionally, the rose was accompanied by a butterfly.

Lofton asked Henderson if she liked lotus flowers, and she confirmed. At that point, the footage cut to her finished tattoo.

Before Debuting Her Cover-Up, Shaunie Henderson Last Made Headlines By Way Of Her Former Mother-In-Law

Before making headlines for her “huge” tattoo cover-up, about a year ago, Shaunie Henderson made headlines by way of her former mother-in-law. As The Shade Room previously reported, in June 2024, Shaquille O’Neal’s mother, Lucille, appeared on ‘Sway In The Morning’ alongside Steph Curry’s mom, Sonya. During their appearance, Lucille was asked to share her experience meeting Henderson.

Ultimately, Lucille appeared to allude to feeling as if Henderson wasn’t the right match for her son.

But its hard to see them go into a relationship, and somehow you may feel, maybe that might not be the right relationship,” she said in part.

Lucille’s response ended up prompting reactions on social media, as her thoughts notably contrasted with the response Sonya shared on the matter.
