Sister Souljah Is Dropping A Sequel To ‘The Coldest Winter Ever’ Following Winter’s Life After Prison Bid

Getting the privilege to read Sister Souljah’s “The Coldest Winter Ever,” is like a right of passage for many Black and brown girls. Even if you weren’t much of a reader in school, there’s no denying the iconic novel was a real page-turner.

It’s been 20 years since Sister Souljah released her debut novel, and fans of the book are still left wondering what happened to Brooklyn’s own Winter Santiaga. Well–wonder no more!

Sister Souljah is dropping a sequel to her bestselling novel, titled “Life After Death,” which will chronicle Winter’s life as she nears the completion of her prison bid.

“Fans fell in love with the unforgettable Winter Santiaga, daughter of a prominent Brooklyn drug-dealing family, who captivated her lovers, friends, and enemies with her sexy street smarts,” read the description for the upcoming book. “For two decades, fans have begged for answers about what happened to Winter.”

The book is said to be filled with Sister Souljah’s trademark passion, danger, temptation, and adventure.

“With her jail sentence coming to a close, Winter is ready to step back into the spotlight and reclaim her throne.”

“Life After Death,” is slated to drop in March of 2021.

This is probably the most exciting news regarding “The Coldest Winter Ever” since those tired rumors about a possible film adaptation of the novel being in the works.

Everyone who has read the book has come up with their ideal cast for the film. Heck, we even put in our bid for who we think should be cast in a “Coldest Winter Ever” film along with our other favorite young adult novel, “Flyy Girl.”

So, even if we don’t get a movie, we’re definitely here for a sequel to one of our beloved books.
