Skai Jackson, Nelly, Carole Baskin, Jeannie Mai & More Join The New Season Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’

It looks like an all-new season of “Dancing With The Stars,” is right around the corner as the contestants for season 29 were announced Wednesday morning.

The cast for the upcoming season was revealed on “Good Morning America,” and this year’s cast consists of familiar faces that will definitely have the show trending pretty high as they compete week after week to win the Mirror Ball trophy.

Carole Baskin, who has been making headlines since the release of the Netflix docuseries “Tiger King,” will be putting on her kitten heels as she hits the dance floor. Another familiar face that will be competing this season is none other than Nelly.

He expressed his excitement for the competition and said, “I’m a Scorpio, I feel like I can do anything. This is going to be my biggest test yet, but I’m up for it.”

Also joining them will be Disney alum Skai Jackson, “The Real” co-host Jeannie Mai, “Desperate Housewives” star Jesse Metcalf and Super Bowl champ, Vernon Davis. Basketball legend Charles Oakley will be showing off his moves along with, Kaitlyn Bristowe, AJ McLean, Monica Aldama, Anne Heche, Justina Machado, Nev Schulman Chrishell Stause, and Johnny Weir.

As we previously reported, Tyra Banks has been named as the new host for the upcoming season, making her the first black woman to host the show, and also the first solo host.

GMA reports that the show will be incorporating a new rule this season. All pro dancers, including spouses who are dancers and work on the show, (who will be teamed up with the celebrities) have to be quarantined apart from one another. The goal of this precaution is to prevent the elimination of two pros and their celebrity partners should one test positive for COVID-19.
