Earlier this week, Austin took to Instagram to share photos of her apparent makeup application performed by an unnamed artist.

“Im just convinced people cant do my mf makeup because wtf is this Im mad as hell and I got pictures at 3 Ÿ #botched#clt #shaderoom #shaderoom#glorilla #fyp” she wrote in the caption of the carousel.

Subsequently, Austin’s carousel was re-shared by The Shade Room and garnered over 7,000 comments to date.

Subsequently, Austin’s photos, or the chatter that it sparked, appeared to make its way to GloRilla’s algorithms. On Sunday, March 23, she took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to clap back at those comparing her looks to the “ugly makeup girl.”

“Im looking thru dem quotes of dat ugly makeup girl & everybody dat say it look like me im in yall ngga dm right now,” she wrote.

Social media users weighed in on GloRilla’s thoughts about being compared to Seaira Austin in The Shade Room’s comment section. Additionally, some noted that they felt Glo went a little too far with her words.
