Social media is sharing reactions after Ice Cube had a candid conversation with Cam Newton about how he’s sustained his 32-year marriage.
On Friday, November 22, a new episode of Newton’s ‘Funky Friday’ podcast was released via YouTube. Additionally, it featured Cube as a guest. Furthermore, about thirty-one minutes into the episode, Newton and Cube landed on the topic of marriage.
Newton asked Cube how he has been able to “stay true” to his foundation of being a family man while being in the entertainment industry. Additionally, Newton asked Cube to share his marriage “hack.”
“…You gotta want it,” Cube told Newton. “You just gotta want it, man. Like, I don’t want nobody to have my woman. She’s mine. I’m hers.”
At that point, Newton seemingly explained to the rapper that marital bliss isn’t likely to be consistent on a daily basis. In turn, Cube responded, “But who in life is it like that with?”
“You don’t like your mama every day. Some days, she get on your nerves… Every day ain’t gon’ be roses. you can’t expect that from your spouse. It’s all about, are y’all a family or not?” he said. “…It’s really all about a real commitment and not looking for all your needs to be met all the time…”

As The Shade Room previously reported, Cam Newton and Jasmin Brown welcomed their first child together in March. Additionally, the milestone marked Newton welcoming his eighth child into the world. To note, Newton shares the older children some of which are adopted with two other women.
Furthermore, in August, Newton turned heads after explaining that he has no desire to get married, per The Shade Room. Instead, he explained that he would like to welcome more children.
Then, earlier this month, Newton seemingly shocked social media after sharing that he hasn’t been monogamous with Brown amid their romance, per The Shade Room. Subsequently, his revelation prompted Dr. Cheyenne Bryant to chime in with her thoughts on Brown’s choice to continue pursuing a relationship with Newton.
