Sofia Laine, The Mother Of Vanessa Bryant, Responds To Her Recent Claims (Updatez)

Roommates yesterday we reported that Vanessa Bryant spoke out against her mother, Sofia Laine. In a lengthy Instagram post, Vanessa detailed her mother’s role in her and her daughter’s lives over the years. She shared that the $5 million lawsuit is an attempt to extort her family during a very painful time as she continues to mourn the loss of her husband and daughter, Gianna, and Kobe Bryant.

Vanessa wrote, “My mother is continuing to try and find ways to extort a financial windfall from our family. For nearly two decades, we arranged for my mother to live in our nearby properties, at no cost to her because she had claimed that she didn’t have any money to buy her own home after her divorce.”

Sofia is speaking out against Vanessa and claims she is lying, and Sofia has the receipts, according to TMZ. Sofia said, “For starters, I would like to state that I do not enjoy airing our family grievances in public. Although I filed a lawsuit, I did not make any public comments and was hoping for the court process to run its course without the publicity, as hurtful as it is. I did not want this and did not want this.”

Sofia continued, “All I wanted is what I worked for. Vanessa, despite everything that I have been promised and done for her and the family, has attempted to sever all ties and renege on all obligations and agreements. Why would she do this to her own mother? I am so disappointed, hurt, and wrong to the point that I had no choice but to file a lawsuit. I am nearly 70 years old, my health is deteriorating, and my own daughter is doing this to me?”

Sofia also claims that she was the family nanny for nearly 20 years, despite what her daughter said. She noted, “[Vanessa] drafted and enforced an extremely strict schedule for the round the clock care of my grandchildren. It is simply ridiculous that she would deny this.”

Nobody wins when the family feuds. Hopefully, this matter can be resolved soon.
