Spotify Tries A New Business Partnership To Get One Step Ahead of Tidal And Its Competitors!!

Spotify wants no parts in allowing Tidal to be its competition. So they made a deal over coffee –literally!

Starbucks announced their latest deal with Spotify, one of the more seasoned streaming services. The deal includes producing playlists for Starbucks’ stores, which in turn offers exposure of Spotify to over 7,000 domestic locations; this would leave Spotify a few steps ahead of Tidal and a few steps away from its biggest challenge yet, Apple Music.

The partnership will allow for Starbucks’ employees and customers to pick the songs played in those 7,000+ stores; which will then become available to stream within Starbucks’ mobile app which by the way has been downloaded by 16 million people in the U.S.!

Spotify is really gaining cool points with their additional point feature which lets Spotify users gain rewards points for the Starbucks app.  Starbucks follows up that with offering their employees a complimentary subscription to Spotify’s premium service.

“By connecting Spotify’s world-class streaming platform ito our world-class store and digital ecosystem, we are reinventing the way our millions of global customers discover music,” Howard Shultz, Starbucks Chief Executive Barista said.

Let’s Chat Below, do you think this move will give Spotify the upper hand over Tidal?
